After announcing Donald Trump as the winner in Wisconsin, one of the seven contested states, the Associated Press (AP) news agency declared the 78-year-old Republican the 47th president of the United States.
Trump has so far managed to prevail in crucial battleground states that he lost to Biden four years ago, including Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Georgia.
In this way, the New York magnate becomes the second president in more than a century to lose the White House and then return to win it again, something that had not been seen since former President Grover Cleveland’s achievement in 1892.
