Several journalists from different news organizations have been denied accreditation for the night’s viewing event. the elections of the former president donald trump in West Palm Beach, Florida, in retaliation for his coverage of the Trump campaign.

Among the journalists who were denied accreditation were those of Politico, Axios, Puck, Voice of America and Mother Jones. Some, like those at Politico, had previously been granted access to Tuesday night’s event, but the decision was reversed.

Also The Voice of America (VOA) reporter was allegedly denied entry, the oldest and largest international broadcaster funded by the US federal government.

Puck political correspondent Tara Palmer, who was scheduled to broadcast live from the Palm Beach Convention Center, said on her X account that “there was a change of plans” and she would now join the broadcast from Los Angeles.

Around 200 to 300 journalists entered the Convention Center at 3:00 pm local time.

The facility is under tight security measures after the Republican candidate suffered two attacks during the campaign, one of them in Florida. Trump does not have a scheduled time to appear in front of his supporters.

The former president’s campaign has organized various events in Palm Beach, with varying levels of exclusivity, including a dinner for a small number of donors at Mar-a-Lago and an even smaller gathering for those who will hang out with him overnight, according to The New York Times.

Trump will be accompanied by billionaire Elon Musk. The 53-year-old South African businessman is one of the former president’s staunchest supporters and has fully dedicated himself to supporting the MAGA movement (acronym for ‘Make America Great Again’).

Separately, last week Trump sued CBS News over an interview with his Democratic rival Kamala Harris and filed a complaint with the Federal Election Commission against The Washington Post.
