There are mistakes after mistakes, but the reality is that the Liga MX communication department was exposed by confusing the owner of the Toluca FC Valentine Ten with his dad Don Nemesio Diez in the commemorative publication of the Day of the Dead and which was the reason for social media users to make this failure viral.

It is true that whoever is free of guilt, let him cast the first stone and that errors are something inherent to an attempt to highlight or make known some important event. For that reason, netizens were quite severe in their criticism of this publication.

In the comments highlighted the fact that an organization as important as Liga MX cannot afford these failures, especially because instead of the people of the Toluca club having valued the commemorative act of remembering the father of the current owner of the Red Devils on the Day of the Dead, it became evident that they are not aware of the history of one of the most traditional soccer teams in Mexico.

The MX League did not want to miss this important date in the traditions of Mexican culture and for that reason he took on the task of remembering the important people who helped consolidate what is now one of the most important competitions in America.

Faced with criticism, the people of Liga MX It did not take long to correct the error and later said commemorative event appeared with the correct image of one of the men who stood out for their contribution to the growth and strengthening of the soccer tournament in Mexico in the 1970s, to the extent that the schedule 11 in the morning in the old Bombonera for their home games was iconic and characteristic of this franchise.

Under the mandate of businessman Nemesio Diez, The Red Devils won the titles of the 1966-67, 1967-68, 1974-75 and Summer 1998 seasons, leaving the baton to his son Valentín Diez who was key to the rest of the Red Devils League tournament titles in the tournaments Verano 1999, Verano 2000, Apertura 2002, Apertura 2005, Apertura 2008 and Bicentenario 2010.

Precisely the MX League paid posthumous tribute to Don Nemesio Diez, as well as other important figures such as the Colombian Miguel Calero, the Argentine Alberto Jorge, former coach of the scarlet squad and the Ecuadorian Christian “Chucho” Benírez, but the initiative did not have the impact they expected, quite the opposite, due to the countless criticisms. for that little detail.
