Maduro on elections in the US: “Our future will never depend on what they decide in the north”

The Venezuelan president Nicolás Maduro asked this Monday that, regardless of the electoral result between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump, The United States government should not be carried away by the “failed policies of extremism” of the Caribbean nation’s opposition.

“I hope that neither of them, whether one wins or the other, allows themselves to be involved again in the failed policies of the names of the Venezuelan oligarchy and, in the meantime, we continue our work, our destiny. Our future will never depend on what they decide in the north“Maduro indicated on his weekly television program.

Maduro pointed out that in the past, The foreign policy of the United States, with Donald Trump (2017-2021) as president, failed due to the “(Juan) Guaidó model”.

“What did they do with Guaidó? “Deceive Trump, take him to the defile, tell him that this was a piece of cake (easy) and who did it, the same last names, (Leopoldo) López, the deranged (María Corina) Machado, Julio Borges, the same clan,” he added.

Maduro said he will not interfere in the internal affairs of the United Statesregarding the presidential elections that will be held this Tuesday, and that – he said – only observes and maintains the path to develop the country.

“No one from the north, no one is going to come to build the Venezuela that we need,” he said.

He added that whoever wins the United States presidential election will have in “Venezuela a revolutionary government, a Bolivarian government, a Bolivarian people, with whom they will have to talk, dialogue, understand each other, in the good ways, always in the good ways.”

Maduro accuses the US of planning a coup in Venezuela

Maduro accused the United States government of being involved in an attempted coup against his Chavista government, with which he claimed to seek to impose a fascist model in the Caribbean country.

“The model that the empire has for the world and that they intend to impose with a coup d’état in Venezuela and that they intend to impose with destabilization in Venezuela, let no one doubt, is a fascist model,” said the president in a televised statement.

He considered that this model is what Presidents Javier Milei and Daniel Noboa want to impose in Argentina and Ecuador, respectively, both critical leaders of Chavismo, especially after the presidential elections on July 28, in which Maduro was proclaimed the winner by the Council. National Electoral (CNE).

After the Venezuelan elections on July 28, Maduro was proclaimed the winner by the National Electoral Council (CNE), a victory that Joe Biden’s government does not recognize and that the largest opposition coalition calls fraudulent.

Last September, after asking the Venezuelan authorities to publish minutes to clarify the electoral result, the United States sanctioned 16 Venezuelan officials for preventing the dissemination of accurate results and a transparent electoral process, something that Venezuela described as a “new crime of assault.

The candidates for the United States presidential elections enter the elections tied in the polls and the uncertainty will be clarified in seven disputed states, where all eyes will be on this Tuesday.
