Every time the director Guillermo del Toro is impressed by a movie, briefly shares his review on social media. Now he did it with the tape “The Substance”directed by Coralie Fargeat and starring Demi Moore.

In your account x (before Twitter) the Mexican director wrote the following: ““The Substance”of Coralie Fargeat – the horror of losing oneself, the vertigo of the surface, the betrayal of the flesh… precise, pulsating, humorous, relentless and shifting nimbly from pathos to terror and laughter.”

Guillermo’s comment did not go unnoticed by Fargeat, who felt flattered and appreciated that he took the time to criticize her film: “Very honored by your words about “The Substance” THANK YOU Guillermo!!”
In “The Substance” Moore plays Elisabeth Sparkle, a mature woman who is the star of a television exercise show. One day she is fired and, after a period of depression due to the passage of time in her body, she decides to use a strange substance that could make her younger and more beautiful. The film (which has an unexpected ending) competed for the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival this year.; It has generally gotten good reviews.
“The Substance” has also marked a return for Demi Moorewhose performance has been much commented on. Recently The Hollywood Reporter mentioned some actresses who could achieve the award nomination Oscar next year, and the list also includes Mikey Madison, Angelina Jolie, Nicole Kidman and Karla Sofia Gascón.
