Large voter turnout in California: more than 4 million votes cast

Less than a week before the elections, more than four million Californians They already cast their vote in advance.

According to the California Secretary of State, County recorder’s offices have accepted about 4.2 million ballots that were returned by mailrepresenting 21% of the Golden State’s 22.8 million registered voters.

Officials said that The percentage varies according to each county.

In Los Angeles County, 13% of the ballots have been received of registered voters, while in Orange and Ventura counties the percentage is higher, at almost 22%.

In the 2020 presidential election, the number of mail-in votes reached record levels, when 86.7% of California residents turned in their vote by mail. In total, 80.7% of registered voters cast their ballots in the November 2020 election.

The number of votes cast is expected increase rapidly over the next few days the more Californians go to early voting locations in person.
