With an ad to the rhythm of cumbia where the singer asks Latinos not to vote for “El Trumpas,” Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign makes an additional appeal to voters in key states.
In the song titled “El Hit” Latinos are asked not to fall “into the trap” and vote for the Harris-Walz campaign.
The ad will air on Spanish-language radio stations targeting Latino voters in battleground states, the campaign said.
“The new paid radio ad builds on the Harris campaign’s historic $3 million investment in Spanish-language radio during Hispanic Heritage Month,” the report says. “It reflects the Vice President’s commitment to winning the Latino vote. The Democratic campaign’s efforts include an interview by Vice President Governor Tim Walz with Radio Bilingüe.

The Harris-Walz campaign criticized former President Donald Trump for not apologizing for comments against Latinos and Puerto Rico at the Madison Square Garden rally, which was called “racist.”
This morning, the vice president distanced herself from the position of President Joe Biden, who in a virtual message convened by Voto Latino called Trump voters “garbage,” although he later rectified his comment.
“I strongly disagree with any criticism of people based on who they choose to vote for,” Harris said.
