Search in Oregon for escaped child sexual predator who may be dressed as a woman

The Oregon authorities are searching for an alleged child sexual predator who escaped capture in Idaho and is possibly dressed as a woman.

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office in Oregon announced Saturday that Christian Bert Fischer, 42, He is wanted in Florida for traveling to meet a minor after using a computer to lure the girl.

Authorities said Fischer has ties to Southern Oregon and is on the run after evading capture by police in Coeur D’alene on Tuesday, Oct. 22.

On the second day of Fischer’s trial in Hernando County, Florida, the United States Marshals Service (USMS) said the man failed to appear in court and immediately fled the state later that day.

Investigators discovered he fled to California, Oregon and, most recently, northern Idaho. Authorities added that Fischer has been using “fictitious names” and has likely used cash and had his associates pay certain expenses while he has been on the run.

In northern Idaho, the USMS Greater Idaho Fugitive Task Force learned that Fischer had attempted to befriend several families in the area, including those with children.

Prior to the task force’s attempt to arrest Fischer, he was seen carving pumpkins at his last known location in Athol, Idaho, with an unknown family.

Investigators have not yet been able to identify the family and They urge the family or anyone else who may have had interactions with Fischer to contact the local USMS office.

The agents described Fischer as a white man, 1.78 meters tall and 90 kilos, with blonde hair and blue eyes.

Before heading to Idaho, police said Fischer was in the Portland area. Its other known locations were Ashland, Lake of the Woods and Wolf Creek in June and July.

USMS task forces across the country have also joined the search for Fischer, including the local Pacific Northwest Violent Offender Task Force.

Crime Stoppers of Hernando County, Florida is also offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading directly to Fischer’s arrest.
