Chris Christie, former Republican presidential candidate, warned that, After analyzing the last phase of Kamala Harris’ campaign, he is not convinced that her message has impacted citizens that could define the winner of the elections.
During his appearance as a guest on the television program “The View,” The former governor of New Jersey, who has been characterized as one of Donald Trump’s main political enemies, assured that the acting vice president needs to reach undecided voters, Otherwise, he would face the risk of being left on the edge of the electoral contest.
“10 days ago I would have told you that she was going to win. And I think he’s had 10 bad days.
Participating in the race so late has its advantages and disadvantages. The advantage is that she did not have to go through all the primaries and everything that entails and that wears you down a little, but the disadvantage is that people do not know her,” he indicated.
Christie also highlighted that Kamala Harris has not managed to distance herself from Joe Biden and that could perhaps be a bad signal sent to citizens who have not yet decided who to vote for.
In fact, the Republican politician gave as an example the appearance of the 60-year-old Californian on the same television program, when she had the opportunity to talk about a difference between her vision of the country and that of the president, but decided not to do so.
“I watched them that day. When asked, ‘what would you do differently than Biden?’, she didn’t say. I came to believe that there are things I would disagree with him on. You are human beings and she is a brilliant woman with a mind of her own and clearly she will have moments where she looks at President Biden and says, ‘Hey, I wouldn’t do that.’ Say it!
There’s a difference between throwing it away and saying I had a sincere disagreement with someone about x, whatever it is. “You can have a sincere disagreement with someone you respect enormously,” he stressed.
In support of Chris Christie’s statements, the results of some serious surveys indicate that Kamala Harris’ campaign stopped growing after the presidential debate; while Donald Trump recovered.
