New judicial victory for Kylian Mbappé against his former club, Paris Saint-Germain, to whom the joint resources commission of the French Professional Football League (LFP) ordered the payment of the 55 million ($59.5 million dollars) claimed by the now Real Madrid forward for non-payments from last season.

A spokesperson for the club told EFE that PSG has no intention of paying that sum and that will reach the labor authorities if necessarywhile rejecting that it is a victory for Mbappé.

It is the second time that the French sports authorities have ruled in favor of the footballer, after the legal commission of the LFP, but PSG has other resources left, the first before the Higher Appeal Commission, which depends on the French Football Federation (FFF). ).

“Now that the Appeal Commission has confirmed the ruling of the Legal Commission, PSG will be forced to take the case before the competent courtswhile continuing, despite the repeated bad faith, trying to find an amicable solution with the player,” the spokesperson said.

He indicated that these decisions are born of the player’s refusal to admit a conciliation, which leads the case to traditional justicewhich can take “months or years” to make a decision.

At the center of the conflict are 55 million euros, in terms of salary and bonuses, that PSG retained Mbappé based on a verbal agreement between the two, to unblock the decision of the Qatari owners of the French club. removing him from the first team at the beginning of last season.

That deal, which Mbappé alluded to on occasion before the press, is what PSG clings to in order not to pay that sum, but the player’s lawyers consider it invalid and outdated.

“In fact and in law, the player has made clear and reiterated public and private commitments that the club simply asks to be respected, since the club has granted him unprecedented benefits during 7 years in Paris,” the spokesperson added.

PSG “expects that these basic commitments are simply respected” and, if not, “will be forced to make the player’s bad faith is judged by the competent courts” if Mbappé “continues with this incomprehensibly damaging dispute, for himself and for French football.”

“This is a question of good faith, honesty, defense of values and of respect for the Parisian institution and its fanswhich is more important than any player,” concluded the spokesperson.

It is the climax of a relationship that deteriorated over the years and ended up ending falsely.

Mbappé signed a two-year extension of his contract with PSG in 2022plus an additional season. Shortly before the end of the first season, he made it known that he did not want to activate that clause for a third year, which led the club to issue him an ultimatum: or renewal or departure from the club that same summer of 2023.

As a measure of pressure, he was removed from the discipline of the first team, which Luis Enrique had just taken over, for several weeks.

To unblock the situation and allow the striker to return to the first team, both the club and the player assured that They had reached an agreement so that their departure would not occur without leaving money in the Parisian coffers.

For PSG, this agreement concerns those 55 million, but Mbappé considers that the agreement was expired and contained hidden clauses.
