'Checo' Pérez presents the helmet with a fighter mask that he will use in the Mexican GP

As is tradition, days before the Mexican Grand Prix Czech Perez presented the helmet with special design that you will use in your country’s race, which will be held this weekend at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez in the Aztec capital.

At a press conference, the pilot from Guadalajara showed the helmet with which he will compete on Sunday, which this year is inspired by wrestlingin a clear tribute to one of the main Mexican sports attractions.

The attachment shows a wrestler mask printed on topwhile in the rear area it has a design that simulates the part of the strap that ensures that the mask remains in place. In addition to the sponsor logos all over the surface, On the front you can also see the design of the same maskalthough they are only perceived nose and mouth; On this last part the word is read Jaliscothe pilot’s place of origin.

Regarding what he expects from the race, the also called “Mexican Minister of Defense” said that it will be a different career to those of the rest of the World Cup, since it is disputed at 2,240 meters above sea level and in those conditions “anything can happen.”

“It could be a very different Grand Prix to what it has been all season. Here anything can happen. Altitude plays an important role”, he assured at the press conference.

He also said that No driver receives as much support from his people throughout the season as he does at the Mexican Grand Prix which, according to what he said, his rivals really enjoy the warmth of the fans and why he organizes “tours” for them so that they can get to know their country.

“The dedication of the Mexicans is incredible, many pilots already know other places in Mexico, sometimes I organize vacations for them so they can get to know my country,” he said.

Pérez, who has gone from strength to strength this season and who currently occupies eighth place in the drivers’ championship, spoke about his situation and was optimistic.

“It has been a difficult year that started well with four podiums, but then everything started to go wrong. The weekends arrived and each time there was a different problem, but we hope to solve the problems and start to be competitive,” he said.

“I am confident that things will turn out better starting Sunday. Everything is open and we can fight for the team championship”, he added.

Finally, regarding the rumors that place him outside the Red Bull Racing team at the end of the year, the Mexican was clear and recalled that he has just renewed his contract.

“I’m on the best team in the world, which just renewed me for two years, and I’m not going to leave.”, he concluded.
