Zayn Malik, the former member of One Direction, confirmed, through his Instagram, that his tour will be postponed. ”Stairway To The Sky Tour’ will be postponed to January 2025.
On September 18, Malik shared the dates of his long-awaited tour on Instagram, expressing his gratitude to his fans: “I appreciate your patience, love and support. “I can’t wait to enjoy good music together.” The tour is scheduled to begin on October 23 in San Francisco and conclude on December 3 in Newcastle, England. This event follows the release of his fourth solo album, Room Under the Stairs, which was released in May.
However, the joy of their tour has been overshadowed by the recent death of Liam Payne. Malik shared an emotional tribute on Instagram, describing his pain after the loss of his friend. “I could never thank you for supporting me through some of the most difficult times in my life,” Malik wrote, remembering how Payne was always there with a reassuring smile.
Malik went on to say that he “lost a brother” and expressed his wish that he could hug Payne “one last time.” Referring to music, Malik stated that Liam was “the most qualified in every way” and that he had always admired him for his talent and professionalism.
Liam Payne died at the age of 31 after a tragic fall from his hotel room in Buenos Aires. Authorities have reported that he suffered multiple traumas, including a skull fracture. It was recently revealed that Payne was under the influence of a hallucinogenic drug at the time of his death, which may have influenced his erratic behavior.
Malik, devastated by the news, concluded his tribute by wishing his friend that “wherever you are right now, you are well and at peace.” This painful event has touched many, highlighting the importance of friendship and support in difficult times.
