The renowned Puerto Rican singer Elvis Crespo has ended his marriage with Maribel Vega, after 15 years together, according to revelations from the program ‘I know everything’. The news was announced after Crespo filed a divorce suit, which was filed on October 13 in the Court of Bayamón, Puerto Rico, for reasons considered “irreparable.”
Rumors about the separation began to circulate when Crespo stopped sharing images with his wife on social networks. This lack of posts, which were previously common on her profile, fueled speculation about their relationship.
In addition to filing for divorce, the singer reportedly moved from his home in Florida, where he lived with Vega, to return to Puerto Rico. Crespo is currently in Miami, preparing for his performance at the Billboard Latin Music Awards, scheduled for October 20 at 9 pm ET on Telemundo.
Although he has not officially commented on their separation, Crespo has used his Instagram stories to joke about his current status, hinting that he is looking for new partners. During a live broadcast, he mentioned his new look and said with a laugh: “Now I have a bride finder.”
The artist’s followers have responded positively to his publications, showering him with messages of support and praise for his style.
Elvis Crespo and Maribel Vega married in February 2009 and are parents of Génesis Vittoria, 12 years old. This new chapter in the singer’s life comes after his first union with Ana Ceruto, which ended in 2001 after a love scandal.
