The Chivas del Guadalajara With a great performance by goalkeeper José Raúl “Tala” Rangel, they beat Pachuca 0-2 as visitors, in a victory that leaves behind the bad taste in the mouth that it represented exit through the back door of the Argentine coach Fernando Gago.

It seems that they gave Guadalajara a cocowash, because they looked different, with greater mobility, but above all with greater security in the defensive zone, supported by the change in tactical scheme by playing with a line of three defenders proposed by their new coach Arturo Ortega.

Precisely this strategist, who took over for the rest of the season Before the departure of Gago, his team had a proposal with a lot of impetus, but above all with a lot of intelligence that was able to overcome a very disconcerting Pachuca in the first half.

Guadalajara did not make many changes to its lineupPerhaps the novelty was the start of Ricardo Marín up front, who had been relegated to substitute duties by the previous strategist of the red and white team, but the key was that the pieces were placed in a better way than in previous games.

Along with Rangel, another of the players who had an outstanding performance was Roberto “Piojo” Alvarado, who after his indiscipline in throwing a firecracker against the journalists 10 days ago, now on the field it was a game he opened the scoring in the 19th minute with a header, outside the six-yard box in a header pass that put him on a plate of silver precisely Ricardo Marín.

This goal gave Chivas confidence to continue dominating the game and in the 40th minute Gilberto “Tiba” Sepúlveda made it 0-2which would be the definitive score in a cross from “Piojo” Alvarado to the second post that hit the left post of Tuzos goalkeeper José Ángel Téllez with a shot.

Pachuca wanted to react, but it wasn’t enough

For the second half, Pachuca went with everything in front and with the help of the Moroccan Oussama Idrissi, the Colombian, Nelson Deossa and the Venezuelan Salomón Rondón they sought at all times to close the distance, but in all their attempts they were faced with goalkeeper “Tala” Rangel who prevented a mess in their goal and preserved the Very important 0-2 victory for Guadalajara.

Chivas had not won as a visitor for nine games, when on matchday two they defeated Querétaro 0-2 with goals in that match from Mexican-American Cade Cowell and Alan Mozo.

In this way, The Guadalajara squad adds its fifth victory of the tournament and reaches 18 points to place itself in eighth position in the general table in the league zone, waiting for the rest of the teams that still have to play their match on date 12 of the Apertura 2024 tournament.
