The trailer for 'Like Water for Chocolate' promises an epic adaptation

Literary classics are returning to the screen. Netflix is ​​betting on ‘One Hundred Years of Solitude’ and MAX will do it with ‘Like Water for Chocolate’, a series produced by Salma Hayek.

The preview promises to be an epic adaptation, taking into consideration the Mexican settings and the meals that the protagonist prepares.

What is the series about?

The series is based on the book by Laura Esquivel, which has the same name. The protagonist of the book, Tita de la Garza, andis a young woman who lives in a traditional Mexican family, led by her mother.

Tita, from birth, was chosen to be the one who would stay with her mother until the day she died, andThis “promise” prevents her from being with the love of her life, Pedro.

The cast of the series is made up of Mexican stars: Irene Azuela, Azul Guaita, Ana Valeri Becerril, Andrea Chaparro, Andrés Baida, Ángeles Cruz, Mauricio García Lozano, Ari Brickman and Louis David Horné.

The series, according to the information disclosed, was recorded entirely in Mexico. It will premiere on November 3, through the MAX platform.
