Liam Payne, 31, died on Wednesday, October 16, at 5:00 p.m., according to Argentine police reports. The singer left behind a 7-year-old son, named Bear Gray Payne, and on August 29, his birthday, He dedicated a few words to him and called him “mini me.”
In an audiovisual material, published on her Instagram, the star explained to her followers: “I haven’t received any socks from dad yet. “I will talk to my son in a while and I am very excited.”
“Bless him. He’s already so big. He’s a big boy and he looks like a miniature me. Like we need more me in the world.”
“He sees me as a superhero”
Both Payne and Bear’s mother, Cheryl Cole, who was a judge on ‘The X Factor’, did their best to keep the little one’s face hidden and spoke little about the baby in public.
However, the artist published some photos with his son, in the images the little one is on his back. In an interview with People in 2022, The singer confessed that his son saw him as a superhero and that excited him.
“I see him twice a week, sometimes three times a week. And I make sure that when I see him, he has 100 percent of my time. I make sure I’m not on the phone or wasting time somewhere else.“, he said.
At that moment, he exclaimed, “I like to give him those moments and it’s important, he needs that in his life.”
For him, Bear needed a father in his life and he made it clear: “He needs his father in his life, and I’m happy that he sees me as a superhero, and I hope he stays that way.”
What is known about the death of Liam Payne?
As of this writing, Liam Payne’s death remains under investigation. The police arrived at the CasaSur Hotel, located in Palermo, Argentina, after receiving a call from the venue manager. In the call, he indicated that Payne was engaging in erratic behavior.
In addition, he said he was under the influence of alcohol and narcotics. When the emergency service arrived, they reported that there was nothing they could do and that he had “fallen” from the balcony of his room.

Payne had originally planned a five-day trip to Argentina and his stay was extended by two weeks. He had traveled to support his former bandmate, Niall Horan, at his concert at the Movistar Arena in Buenos Aires.
