Walker Buehler will be the Game 3 starter for the Dodgers against the New York Mets. The starter has been left behind this season, but with a good start he will be able to redeem himself.

In his last outing against the San Diego Padres, Buehler pitched 5.0 innings, allowing 6 runs and a home run by Fernando Tatis Jr. Buehler has a 3-4 record with a 3.40 ERA and 101 strikeouts in 16 career postseason appearances.

This year he has not had success on the mound. The right-hander went 1-6 with a 5.38 ERA and 64 strikeouts in 16 appearances.

How has Walker Buehler fared against the Mets in his career?

The Dodgers pitcher is 1-1 with a 5.00 ERA and 28 strikeouts in 5 career appearances against the Mets.

Although Buehler has not pitched against the Mets since 2022. On that occasion he allowed 5 runs in 2.1 innings pitched.

The Dodgers enter the series 1-1 after losing 7-2 at home in Game 2. Pitcher Lando Knack received a grand slam from Mark Vientos that took the game one way for the Mets.

Lifetime, the Los Angeles Dodgers have a 168-148 road record against the Mets all-time.

“I feel good. I feel confident,” Buehler said. “I think probably one of my biggest strengths for a long time was my confidence, I guess. At times this year, that has faltered a bit. In the last six or eight [aperturas], I felt like I was building some pillars. And I hope that continues.”

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts has confidence in Buehler and hopes to win in Game 3.

“I think, in general, with Walker, “I would like the same effort, execution, concentration and, without a doubt, a different result,” said Dodgers manager Dave Roberts. “The series is 1-1, here on the road again, so we have a lot of confidence in Walker. I hope he comes out with the same kind of conviction and focus.”
