Harris to highlight patriotism and unity at event with Republicans in Pennsylvania

The vice president Kamala Harris will make a historic bipartisan campaign event on Wednesday at Pennsylvania in which he focused on the importance of patriotism, the defense of the Constitution and unity for the United States in these elections.

Harris plans to highlight how former President Trump violated his oath to defend the Constitution, refusing to accept the result of a free and fair election and participate in the peaceful transfer of power when he sent a mob to the Capitol where they threatened the life of his own vice president, the January 6, 2021.

He also plans to re-emphasize the risk that a second Trump term represents for the country with his recent threats to turn the military against his fellow Americans, whom he calls “the enemy within,” and their calls for the “termination” of the Constitution. Even Trump’s own former Defense Secretary on Monday urged Americans to take this seriously.

Harris will be joined by more than 100 Republicans who support her candidacy against former President Donald Trump, including former congressman and January 6 Committee member Adam Kinzinger.

Two weeks ago, Harris was joined by former Republican congresswoman Liz Cheney at an event in Ripon, Wisconsin, the birthplace of the Republican Party, and last week she participated in an Arizona Republicans for Harris event in Scottsdale.

In Pennsylvania, Harris will make a broad call for unity, urging Republicans of good conscience who revere democratic ideals to join her and these Republicans to turn the page on Trump’s chaos and instability.

Harris also plans to mention how, as a senator, she worked closely with Republicans to put the best for America above all else.

Harris has been endorsed by more than 100 former Republican national security officials; 300 alumni of Reagan, Bush, Romney and McCain; a dozen former Reagan aides; 120 Arizona Republicans; several former members of Nikki Haley’s campaign staff and a dozen White House lawyers who served under Republican presidents.

He also has the endorsement of former Vice President Dick Cheney; former Congresswoman Liz Cheney; former Arizona senator Jeff Flake; former Kansas Senator Nancy Kassebaum; former United States Attorney General and White House advisor Alberto Gonzales; the late Senator John McCain’s son, Jim McCain; retired 4-star general Larry Ellis; former Trump administration officials Olivia Troye, Cassidy Hutchinson, Stephanie Grisham and Anthony Scaramucci; former Republican Congressman Adam Kinzinger; and former Georgia Republican Lieutenant Governor Geoff Duncan.

Harris campaign advisors believe that the support and backing of disaffected Republicans They are key to deciding the vote of Americans in Pennsylvania and other battleground states.

Bucks County is a key county in Pennsylvania, where Hillary Clinton defeated Trump by just under 2,000 votes in 2016 and President Biden won in 2020 by 17,000 votes, showing how important it is to build a coalition where every vote matters .

Nikki Haley won 157,000 voters in Pennsylvania in the GOP primary, even after retiring, which indicates discontent with Trump among Pennsylvania Republicans, mainly in the suburbs. Haley won 19% of the vote (nearly 12,000 votes) in Bucks County in the primary.

Harris’ major bipartisan unity event coincides with the start of in-person early voting in Bucks County, which began Tuesday, October 15.
