Goalkeeper Gonzalo Gómez died at the age of 34

Gonzalo Gómez Sáenz-López unfortunately passed away last Monday, October 14 at the age of 34.after having fought a long illness that forced him to be confined for several days in critical condition. The Sociedad Deportiva Logroñés confirmed the news through its official social networks, also sharing the obituary that was issued by his family and closest people.

The former goalkeeper played for the aforementioned team, in addition to Náxara CD and in CD Calahorra, despite the fact that he could never become part of the two main categories of the clubs.

He was able to see action in a total of 35 games in the defunct Second Division B, as well as several matches in the Copa del Rey, with the third round as his personal limit.
