Vice President Kamala Harris called Sen. JD Vance’s comments about “childless cat women” “evil and petty.”“, and said that Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders’ recent comments about Harris not having biological children reveal that Sanders does not understand “a lot of women here.”

During a town hall she moderated for Trump in Flint, Michigan, last September, Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders talked about her children keeping her humble, adding, “Unfortunately, Kamala Harris has nothing to keep her humble.” Sanders said.

Under this environment, Harris addressed the speech promoted by Vance about whether women have biological children on the popular “Call Her Daddy” podcast. with presenter Alexandra Cooper, which was published on Sunday.

Cooper asked Harris for her thoughts on Vance’s comments about “childless cat women,” comments the Republican vice presidential candidate has tried to explain but has not retracted.

In 2021, Vance said the country was being run by “a group of childless cat women who are miserable with their own lives and the decisions they have made.”and that’s why they want to make the rest of the country miserable too.”

Since then, Vance has suggested that politicians without biological children have no interest in the future of the nation.

“I think it’s a cruel and mean attitude,” said Harris, who has two grown stepchildren.. “And I think most Americans want leaders who understand that the measure of their strength is not based on who they defeat. The true measure of a leader’s strength is who he lifts up.”

Of Sanders’ comments, Harris also said, “I don’t think she understands that there are a lot of women here who don’t aspire to be humble in the first place.”

“Secondly, there are a lot of women here who have a lot of love in their life, family in their life and children in their life. And I think it’s very important for women to help each other.”

“I am the daughter of divorced parents,” Harris continued. “And when I started dating Doug, my husband, I was very thoughtful and sensitive to make sure that until I knew our relationship was going to be something real, I didn’t want to get into a relationship with the kids and then walk away from that relationship. I just, my own experience tells me that, you know, kids bond and you really want to be thoughtful about it. So I waited to meet the children. And they are my children. And I love those children madly,” he said.
