In the United States, all states except North Dakota require people to register to vote. Depending on the state, the deadline to register to vote could be until one month before the November 4 elections.

In some states, such as South Carolina or Alaska, The last day to register is this Sunday, October 6, 2024.

Some states close registration up to a month before Election Day while others allow registration on Election Day itself.
