The violence in the city of Culiacán and its surroundings does not stop, all caused by an internal war in the bowels of the Sinaloa Cartelwhich is causing serious damage to society, and for which the authorities are redoubling their efforts.
This Friday afternoon, subjects aboard trucks began to throw tire punctures on the Mexico International Highway, on the borders of Culiacán, to which a helicopter gunship responded by firing on moving vehicles.
Some media report that two helicopters from the Ministry of the Navy were supervising the area, which since the beginning of September has been more plagued by violence. According to the newspaper El Financiero, during the supervision work, the chase began against the armed men aboard the trucks, causing one of them to crash.
According to the weekly Proceso, an operation was deployed that led to a confrontation between the military and civilians in the center and north of Sinaloa. Unofficially, it was reported that the operation was deployed in order to capture Jorge Humberto Figueroa Benitezalias “El Perris” or “El 27”, head of security for Los Chapitos.
Regarding this version, journalist Luis Chaparro detailed that “El Perris” would have escaped for the second time. However, rumors arose on social networks that said criminal had been killed during the operation, without an official version being given so far.
The shooting from the air and ground during this operation lasted several minutes, until the situation was controlled, with support from the National Guard.
The governor of Sinaloa, Ruben Rocha Moyareported: “I am in communication with the Secretariat of the Navy of Mexico to find out the situation that prevails at the moment, informs that strategic operations are being carried out, which are typical of their special works that they have contemplated in Angostura and neighboring municipalities. For this reason, Semar herself will be the one to announce their results.”
Likewise, he reported that 590 more elements of the National Guard will arrive in Culiacán to join the Special Forces of the Mexican Army and Air Force, in order to protect the safety of the inhabitants.
“We hope that they will help us, and they will help us, with all the measures that the Army is taking, first of all, which has not stopped being with us, also the National Guard, the Air Force, the Navy and the State Police, Well, they are very coordinated in their work and this has helped us reduce, not finishing yet, unfortunately we cannot say that it is already finished,” added the governor.

And the dispute between the Sinaloa Cartel factions of Los Mayitos and Los Chapitos had remained from the center to the south, but is now moving towards the rural area of northern Culiacán.
