Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned this Monday (09/30/2024) that “There is no place in the Middle East that Israel cannot reach”while its army bombards positions of the pro-Iranian Islamist movement Hezbollah in Lebanon.

“Every day they see a regime that subjugates them, that makes fiery speeches about the defense of Lebanon, the defense of Gaza,” he said in a video message addressed to the Iranian people.

“However, Every day, that regime plunges our region deeper into darkness and deeper into war. Every day, his puppets are eliminated. Ask Mohammed Deif, ask Nasrallah,” Netanyahu said, referring to the head of the armed wing of the Palestinian terrorist movement Hamas, whom Israel claims to have killed in July in Gaza, and the head of Hezbollah killed on Friday in Lebanon by Israel, respectively. .

“There is nowhere in the Middle East that Israel cannot reach. There is nowhere we will not go to protect our people and our country,” said the Israeli leader.

“At every moment, the regime brings you, the noble Persian people, closer to the abyss. “The vast majority of Iranians know that their regime does not care about them in the slightest,” he added.

Hezbollah began firing rockets into northern Israel on October 8, in support of its ally Hamas in the Gaza Strip, a day after the Palestinian Islamist movement carried out a deadly attack in southern Israel.

Israel does not rule out a ground offensive in Lebanon

Speaking to troops deployed along the country’s northern border, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said Israel would do everything possible to ensure the return of citizens who have fled Hezbollah rockets for almost a year. year of border conflict.

“We will use all means necessary: your forces, other forces”, from the air, from the sea and from the land,” said Gallant, who was informed by the commanders.

“The elimination of Nasrallah is an important step, but it is not the last. To ensure the return of communities in northern Israel, we will employ all our capabilities, and this includes you.”
