The Vice President Kamala Harris plan to visit Arizona this week in which it would be his first visit to the border since she became the Democratic candidate, to address her plans regarding the border security and the immigrationhis campaign said Wednesday.

Harris plans to visit the border community of Douglas late on Friday afternoon, September 27., according to his campaign.

The town of about 16,000 people is located north of Agua Prieta, Mexico, which has a population of about 91,000.

According to the Democratic candidate’s campaign, Vice President Harris is still planning this trip where I would have planned talk about border securityhow he’s pushing the toughest bipartisan border security plan in a generation, including new border agents and technologies to stop fentanyl, and how Donald Trump killed him for political purposes.

As former Attorney General of California, a border state, Harris faced international gangs and criminal organizations that traffic drugs, weapons and human beings and also believes that we need an immigration system that is safe, fair, orderly and humanein stark contrast to the divisive and dangerous politics of Donald Trump.

Harris received endorsements from mayors of Arizona border cities.

His campaign also highlighted that Undocumented immigrant crossings at the border have decreased since she and President Biden announced new measures earlier this year to strengthen border security, and are now at lower levels than when Trump left office.

Harris has visited the key swing state of Arizona more than a half-dozen times in the past four years, including a rally last month in Phoenix that drew about 15,000 people.

Former President Donald Trump criticized Harris’ plans on social media, claiming she was trying to “scam the public” with her efforts at the border.

Harris addressed the immigration issue on Wednesday in an interview with MSNBC, saying that the United States has “a broken immigration system” that needs to be “fixed,” and accused Trump of “running on a problem, instead of fixing the problem.”
