How should you play the Powerball Double Play?
Double Play is a drawing that gives Powerball fans a second chance. You can play your winnings again. Powerball numbers in a separate drawing, the top cash prize of which is $10 million.
To participate, you must add the Double Play feature to your Powerball ticket and you will only pay an additional $1 per play.
Please note that Powerball tickets that include the Double Play feature are eligible for prizes in both draws.
How do you get your prize?
As with Powerball, Double Play prizes are claimed in the state where the winning ticket was purchased. Players will generally be able to claim a prize of up to $600 at any authorized lottery retailer in the country where they purchased their ticket.
Prizes over $600 can be claimed at the main lottery headquarters in each case. There are also some authorized establishments, which you can quickly find out as appropriate.
You have anywhere from 90 days to a year to claim your prize, depending on the restrictions of the jurisdiction in which the ticket was sold. The expiration date is usually listed on the back of the ticket. If the expiration date is not listed, you should check with your state lottery.
When is the Powerball Double Play played?
Double Play games take place three days a week, specifically Monday, Wednesday and Saturday, after the Powerball drawing ends.
