Harris has a wide cash advantage over Trump

Vice President Kamala Harris vastly outraised and outspent former President Donald Trump in Augustending the month with more cash to fund his final run toward the November election, according to new Federal Election Commission documents released Friday.

Harris’ campaign raised more than $189 million in Augustmore than quadruple the $44 million raised by Trump’s campaign.

In total, it was reported that Harris campaign and the DNC raised $257 million in the month of August, while Trump campaign and the RNC raised $85 million in the same month, the documents show.

These figures They do not take into account donations from September, including the Harris campaign’s $47 million cash infusion from nearly 600,000 donors in the 24 hours after the first and possibly only debate between Harris and Trump.

“As we enter the final stretch of this election, we are making sure that every hard-earned dollar goes toward winning over the voters who will decide this election,” said Harris campaign manager Julie Chavez Rodriguez, in a press release earlier this month.

Facing the final stretch of the presidential race, Harris’ team ended August with $404 million in cash on handovercoming the $295 million war chest reported by Trump’s operation.

Trump’s campaign has said its donations will sustain it for the rest of the election campaign.

“Trump-Vance campaign has momentum heading into final stretch of race,” Trump campaign senior adviser Brian Hughes said in a statement“These August fundraising figures are a reflection of that movement.”
