National Guard agent found dead after missing for 7 months in Ciudad Juárez

A member of the National Guard (GN) who had been missing for more than six months was found dead in a desert area in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua.

It is about David Alejandro Gonzalez Gonzalez28 years old, who disappeared along with another former member of the GN, Brandon Alexis Garcia Jimenezsince last February 21st.

Last Tuesday, the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) located two skeletons in a vacant lot in the Lomas de Poleo neighborhood, in the northwest of Ciudad Juárez.

On September 20, it was confirmed that one of the victims is González González, after an analysis to obtain his identity was carried out by the staff of the Directorate of Forensic Sciences and Expert Services.

“Once the legal autopsy was performed, it was determined that the cause of death was: traumatic cerebral hemorrhage, consecutive to severe head trauma“, reported the FGE.

He added that the discovery of her remains, along with those of another person who remains unknown, was the result of investigations by the Specialized Unit for the Investigation of Missing and/or Unlocated Persons.

“The Missing Persons Search Management Protocol was applied, in which Relatives provided relevant data for identificationin addition to having the support of the State Research Agency for such purposes,” the agency added.

Investigations are continuing to identify the remains of the second victim, in order to provide security to his family and determine whether he is the other missing member of the National Guard.
