A lizard hampered free practice at the Singapore Grand Prix (VIDEO)

The third and final free practice for the Singapore Grand Prixthe eighteenth of the Formula One World Championship, was interrupted at the beginning of the race for a few minutes on Saturday, until a lizard that was calmly strolling along the Marina Bay tarmac was persuaded to leave.

Once the employees of the facility managed to get the reptile to leave (now at a higher speed, feeling pursued) the urban circuit track, the cars began to roll in Marina Bay, where Dutch triple world champion Max Verstappen (Red Bull) defends 59 points over Englishman Lando Norris (McLaren)who set the fastest time in Friday’s practice sessions.

Among others, the Spanish will participate in the Singapore Grand Prix Fernando Alonso (Aston Martin) -double F1 world champion- and Carlos Sainz (Ferrari) -winner last year on this circuit and competing in his 200th Grand Prix in the premier class-; the Mexican Sergio Pérez (Red Bull) – world runner-up last year and winner two years ago on this track – and Argentine Franco Colapinto (Williams), who is competing in his third race in the top division of motor racing.
