The former first lady Melania Trump He defended his past work as a nude model, calling it an art form in “celebration of the human form” and blaming “the media” for scrutinizing him, as he continues to promote his biography “Melania,” due out in October.
In a 45-second video clip posted on her social media accounts on Wednesday, the wife of Donald Trump posted some of the most extensive comments he has made on social media since leaving the White House in January 2021.
“Why do I take pride in my work as a nude model? The more pressing question is: why did the media decide to analyze my celebration of the human form in a fashion photo shoot?” Melania Trump said in the video posted on X.
The former first lady added: “Can we no longer appreciate the beauty of the human body? Throughout history, great artists have revered the human form, evoking deep emotion and admiration.”
“We should honor our bodies and embrace the timeless tradition of using art as a powerful means of self-expression,” she said.
It is not known what media scrutiny Melania Trump was referring to. or if the photographs from her modeling days she mentions had received recent attention.
The last time Melania Trump’s career as a nude model was highlighted was during the 2016 election campaignwhen The New York Post published several nude photos of her (reportedly taken in 1995 and appearing in a now-defunct French men’s magazine) that had not been previously published online. The headline on the cover was “Ogle’s Office,” according to CNN.
