Former basketball player Michael Jordan, who is considered one of the best of all time, suffered greatly with the sale of a mansion he owned in Illinois, but which was apparently finally up for sale after more than 10 years on the market and with its price going up and down.

The house, which has been under contract since last Sunday, could soon change hands, as revealed by real estate agent Katherine Malkin in an interview with CBS News Chicago.

“Real estate agent Katherine Malkin confirmed to CBS News Chicago Monday night that the Point Lake home on Half Day Road went into contract Sunday,” CBS reported.

If the negotiations do close, Michael Jordan will put an end to a major pending matter that he had, and that is that this mega mansion was already beginning to become a real headache for him, since he could not find a way to get rid of it.

It must be remembered that no matter how much the price was lowered, the offers simply did not come in for various reasons, but many believed that for that price one could buy a house with a view of the lake.

“Most people who spend that kind of money in the Chicago area want to live on the lake. They chose not to live on the lake because they wanted privacy,” he said. Katherine Malkin of Compass at the time.

It should be remembered that Michael Jordan began promoting his house for $29 million dollarsHowever, over time he considerably reduced his claims and almost halved what he intended to obtain.

The property, which dates back to 1995, has 56,000 square feetwith nine bedrooms and 15 full bathrooms.

It also has a lobby, kitchen, dining room, living room, main room, TV room, movie room, poker room, wine cellar, garage for 14 vehicles, personalized basketball court, among other amenities.

The custom-designed property also includes a fitness center, a circular infinity pool, a putting green, a tennis court and a cigar room, among other spaces.
