Eddie Hearn wants Munguia to fight Diego Pacheco

Matchroom Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn wants Diego Pacheco to fight Jaime Munguía next after his impressive knockout victory over Maciej Sulecki on Saturday night at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California.

Speaking to reporters after the fight, Hearn believes that a potential fight between Pacheco and Munguía will not be easy due to their styles and, if he wins, it would put the young Mexican-American in a good position. to get a shot at Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez.

“I think he would definitely sell out that arena (Crypto Arena). Jaime Munguia left Golden Boy and is now with Top Rank. So maybe that’s a fight that can be had. “We are in a great position because we have our world title shot (against Canelo Alvarez). It is secured. We will see what happens with Edgar Berlanga. I think he will put on a great fight on September 14,” he said.
