Independent presidential candidate Robert Francis Kennedy Jr. reportedly tried to meet with Kamala Harris to offer to end his campaign in exchange for a position in his cabinet, if he manages to beat Donald Trump on the presidential ticket.

The desperation of seeing how the Democrats are doing everything possible to prevent him from complying with the requirements for his name to appear on the ballot in the 50 states of the country, would have forced Kennedy Jr. to try to make a pact with his former teammates before going completely bankrupt.

According to a source close to the Washington lawyer quoted by the television network CNNhis attempt to meet with the California Democrat’s campaign team took place last week, but he did not receive a positive response.

The controversial thing about the move by the nephew of the president assassinated in 1963 is that, In the middle of last month, a video recorded via mobile phone showed him engaging in a phone call with Donald Trump with a similar objective and it even transpired that he was being considered by the New York magnate to take charge of some health organisation.

“I would love for you to do things. And I think it would be very good for you and very important for you. And we are going to win. We are going to win. We are way ahead of the guy,” the 78-year-old Republican is heard saying.

However, Days later, through the leak of a text message written by RFK Jr. to an as yet unidentified person, he calls Trump “the worst president in the history of the nation.”

From there, the distancing between the two presidential candidates and the drop in Kennedy Jr.’s popularity put him in a rather delicate situation less than three months before the elections take place, especially because in New York a judge has already prevented him from adding his name to the state ballot.

So far, with more campaign expenses than money raised from donors and without the presence of his running mate at public events, the independent candidate is going through his worst moment since he decided to make his way without the support of a political party.
