Despite being considered one of the greatest exponents of urban music, for J Balvin the greatest achievement of his life has been becoming a fatherhe revealed this in a recent interview where the main topic was his debut as a father.

In the framework of the launch of his new album, entitled “Rayo,” the singer of Colombian origin confessed that the inspiration behind his new musical project came from the adventure he embarked on when he became a father.

“I became a father three years ago. That’s one of the things that really sets this new album apart. I think that’s very powerful. It also reminds me that I’m at peace.“, he said in a chat with People en Español.

It was precisely this love for details and life itself that helped him capture that essence for his new album: “This album is born from a really beautiful and grateful energy, more mature, and always maintaining my good vibe DNA.“, he told the publication.

“This album is inspired by when I was a kid and I made music just for the love of music, forgetting about the business. It’s something that reminds me of my childhood, when I wanted to be an artist. I was the hungriest when I was a kid. Now, I still feel the same hunger as before, but I don’t have to prove anything to myself, I just enjoy the process of music.“, said J Balvin in closing.
