The renewed MG HS 2024 is presented with pure luxury

In the emblematic setting of the Goodwood Festival of Speed ​​2024, MG has surprised the public with the presentation of the new generation of its popular SUV, the MG HS.

This model, which celebrates the 100 years of the British brandarrives with a complete redesign that leaves no trace of its predecessor. MG has opted for a complete renovation, not only in terms of aesthetics, but also in the incorporation of new technologies and mechanics that mark a before and after in the history of the vehicle.

The 2024 MG HS stands out at first glance for its bold and modern designThe front end has been completely redesigned, featuring a more aggressive bumper that gives way to a centralized MG emblem, flanked by sharp headlights that add a touch of sophistication.

The grille has been replaced by a cleaner finish, in line with the minimalist trend that defines the new generation of vehicles.

On the sides, the bodywork The MG HS has been sculpted with lines that convey greater robustness. Satin black trim provides an elegant contrast, although its finish may be susceptible to scratches.

The high waistline and rearview mirrors The large dimensions not only improve visibility, but also reinforce the SUV’s presence on the road. One detail that catches the eye is the plastic trim located between the front wings and the doors, which adds a distinctive touch to the whole.

The rear of the 2024 MG HS is not far behind in terms of new features. The tailgate design is now more vertical, which increases the trunk’s loading capacity, which reaches 507 liters.

Although the height has been reduced by 3 cm, this change has contributed to improving the vehicle’s aerodynamics without sacrificing space for the occupants.

The interior of the 2024 MG HS has also undergone a major update. The cabin has been modernized with the addition of two 12.3-inch screens that function as an instrument panel and infotainment system.

The latter is compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlayand comes standard with the Amazon Music app and a 360 degree cameramaking it easy to maneuver in tight spaces.

As for the engines, MG offers two options for the HS 2024. The entry version features a 1.5 turbo four-cylinder engine that generates 169 hp and 275 Nm of torqueassociated with a six-speed manual transmission or a seven-speed DCT automatic.

For those seeking greater efficiency, the plug-in hybrid (PHEV) variant combines the 1.5 engine with a 154 kW electric motor, achieving a combined power that allows acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.8 seconds.

This system is complemented by a 21.4 kWh batterywhich grants an electric range of over 100 kmputting the MG HS PHEV ahead of many of its competitors.

The 2024 MG HS will arrive at dealerships in some European countries at the end of the summer, with expectations of establishing itself as one of the most complete and advanced SUVs on the market.

While details on trim levels and pricing have yet to be revealed, what is clear is that this new model is set to redefine the segment and continue MG’s successful run in the global market.
