$20,000 Opportunity for Businesses in Los Angeles

Owners with Los Angeles businesses that have been in operation for 20 years or more can apply for grants of up to $20,000 through the city’s Legacy Business Program.

How to get $20,000 for your business in Los Angeles?

The purpose of this program is to Provide financial support to companies that have remained active at least in two decades in Los Angeles.

Applications are NOW OPEN for Round 1 of the Legacy Business Recovery Grant Program. This program offers grants of up to $20k to eligible Legacy Businesses that need financial assistance to aid in their recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.

The program was launched in February by the Los Angeles Department of Economic Workforce Development and provides access to resources, technical assistance and promotional activities to ensure the longevity and success of those businesses.

Applications for grants have been open since Monday, with a deadline of 11:59 pm on September 15.

It will be deliver Grant amounts of $10,000 for businesses with one to five employeeswhile grant amounts of $20,000 will go to businesses with six or more employees.

Resources are expected to are delivered between October and November after a review process that will be conducted by the Department of Economic Workforce Development.

“This effort is dedicated to honor and support businesses that have long been the backbone of our communities“shaping the unique character of our neighborhoods,” said Los Angeles City Councilmember Curren Price, who leads the program.

“With more than 50,000 businesses in Los Angeles that have been operating for 20 years or more, Programs like this will help ensure your continued success. and preserving local jobs for decades to come,” Councillor Price added.

For the delivery of grants, Priority will be given to small businesses facing challenges such as gentrification, skyrocketing rents and other threats to their sustainability.

In addition to financial assistance, the Legacy Business Program offers resources to address operational and technical challengesincluding retirement planning, legal consultation, lease negotiation and financial advice.

Promotional activities will also be provided, such as Social media support, website renewal and dissemination among partners.

Business owners also have Opportunity to apply to be part of the Legacy Companies Registrymaking them eligible for additional benefits.
