Upon the appointment of Tim Walz as Kamala Harris’ running mate, a 36-year-old lawyer immediately put a uniform resource locator, popularly known as URL, which was once registered as HarrisWalz.com and later sold for just $8.99.

In 2020, Jeremy Green Eche, who usually works as a trademark lawyer, bought the URL as a bet on the future. focused on seeing what would happen at the end of the current federal administration with the career of the nation’s vice president.

“I just tried to get his name and the names of all the governors in the heart of the country that I could think of,” he said in an interview with the Associated Press (AP) news agency.

In fact, the visionary entrepreneur had already made a good deal in 2016, when he sold the domain ClintonKaine.com for $15,000, a figure he intends to replicate.

“I know I could donate it, but it doesn’t work like that. People who have billboards don’t donate them to the campaign. They’re basically just property,” he said.

Green Eche’s history as a domain investor dates back to 2011, when, at the age of 23, he began acquiring several URLs that emerged by combining the surnames of politicians who might possibly run together in the future. for an important position.

So the first thing that occurred to him was to go for a combination of the surnames of Hillary Clinton, former Secretary of State, and Tim Kaine, then senator from Virginia.

And his intentions were correct, as the former first lady ended up choosing him as her running mate.

The interesting thing is that the domain was acquired by a digital marketing company for $15,000.

The buyer of ClintonKaine.com ended up using it to spread anti-Democratic news about the couple, who were defeated at the polls by Donald Trump.

Based on this experience, The skilled expert in trademark legislation sent a message to the duo that will compete tirelessly from today to defeat the former president of the nation.

“Harris’ campaign has hundreds of millions of dollars, So if you don’t buy your own domain, it’s your responsibility. I have to sell it to someone“, he concluded.
