Aleska Génesis wants to make it clear that everything is peace and love between her and her former colleagues from “La Casa de Los Famosos,” including Maripily Rivera.
On Telemundo’s “La Mesa Caliente,” Aleska responded to criticism from Alfredo Adame, who questioned her attendance at Rivera’s play. She emphasized that any conflict with her fellow cast members was in the past and explained her reason for supporting her boyfriend, Clovis Nienow, in the play.
Aleska responded to Adame saying: “Sir, please sit down. First of all, I am not an enemy of anyone. What happened in the house stays in the house. Obviously, I will always support Clovis. I even went to that place to support him, to support his companions in peace.”.
Aleska also stressed the importance of support among women: “I think that we as women should support each other and not be bothered by the shine of others because we all shine with our own light. So I think that this is more about us as women supporting each other.”.
The Venezuelan also clarified that Maripily was aware of her attendance: “She already knew I was going to go. She had already talked to me, we had even agreed to have dinner together, we had already forgiven each other, so in a certain way she behaved like a child.”Aleska commented. “We have already closed the cycle and we want to leave the house behind.”
Clovis Nienow added: “And we wish success to all our colleagues”.
The point of contention
The play “La Casa de Maripily ¡Se Vale Tó!” debuted in Puerto Rico with the participation of Romeh, Alfredo Adame and Nienow, Aleska’s boyfriend. However, after six performances at the Centro de Bellas Artes in Santurce, Nienow announced his retirement in a livestream, citing “disrespect” towards him and Aleska Genesis as the main reason.
What does Clovis think?
According to Nienow, these incidents made him feel uncomfortable and disappointed during performances. “It was a lack of respect that left me blank on stage. I feel sad and disappointed. I would arrive, do my work, and just want to leave because I felt uncomfortable.”the actor commented in a live broadcast with Aleska.
Aleska added that Maripily tried to make her uncomfortable during her stay in Puerto Rico. “She wanted to make Clovis think that Puerto Rico didn’t want me and that she was going to do everything possible to make it the opposite.”she said. According to Aleska, the situation worsened and she was attacked by the audience. “He encouraged the public to boo me”he concluded.
Maripily’s response
Following Clovis’s statements, Rivera spoke out by publishing a message. She thanked Clovis for his participation in the work and showed empathy for the point that the Mexican highlighted.
“I fully understand Clovis’ determination and I thank him for being available as a guest for these six performances. “He has been part of this first and successful cycle of performances. I can perfectly understand that he feels uncomfortable, but as it happened in ‘the house’, in the play I am not going to pretend either,” said the Puerto Rican in a recent interview.
