Clovis and Aleska discuss controversy in Maripily's work

Aleska Génesis and her boyfriend, Clovis Nienow, denied speculation about a bad streak with Maripily Rivera, her former partner from the fourth season of “La Casa de los Famosos.”

Last week, on Telemundo’s “La Mesa Caliente,” Aleska and Nienow discussed what happened during “La Casa de Maripily: Se vale tó,” a play by the Puerto Rican actress that included some references to Aleska. These led Nienow, who was a participant in the play, to withdraw from the project after six performances.

Nienow explained his decision saying: “Obviously, she is my girlfriend and I will always respect her. I will put her before everyone else. I also respect my ground crew, I had some nice moments in ‘La Casa,’ but everyone is doing their own thing,” and added that “I will always wish the best for her. Success to all my colleagues. And yes, there were disrespectful remarks in the play that I did not like. I decided to step aside… to continue my life and to continue with my girlfriend. He disrespected Aleska, but he also disrespected me.”

Aleska, for her part, highlighted how the situation has affected her relationship with Nienow.

“I feel that all the things that have happened to us are strengthening us as a couple. Everything has been necessary. This was something that had to happen for us to become stronger; to create a good foundation, and he is the man I want for the rest of my life.”said the Venezuelan.

What happened during Maripily’s performance?

The play “La Casa de Maripily ¡Se Vale Tó!” premiered in Puerto Rico, highlighting the participation of renowned personalities such as Romeh, Alfredo Adame and Clovis, but after six performances at the Centro de Bellas Artes in Santurce, through a livestream on his social networks, Nienow announced his retirement from the play.

The Mexican justified this by mentioning some disrespect directed towards him and Génesis during one of the presentations, which he described as unacceptable and said that it made him feel uncomfortable on stage, motivating him to withdraw from the project.

“It was a lack of respect that left me blank on stage. I feel sad and disappointed. I would arrive, do my work, and just want to leave because I felt uncomfortable.”Nienow said during the live broadcast he did with Aleska.

According to the Venezuelan, Maripily had an intentional plan to make her uncomfortable while she was on the Island of Enchantment: “She wanted to make Clovis think that Puerto Rico didn’t want me and that she was going to do everything possible to make it the opposite, that we were going to have dinner together and that she was going to welcome me to Puerto Rico, that she saw me in the play.”added the model, who mentioned that as the play progressed, things became more complicated and she was attacked by members of the audience.

“He encouraged the public to boo me”Aleska said.

Following Clovis and Aleska’s statements, the Puerto Rican responded, assuring that the Mexican knew what themes were included in the play and that he did not show any opposition during the rehearsals or the initial performances.

“From the first performance I made my statements against her, and I stand by them. I did it in front of her without hiding, unlike him, who never showed any disagreement. If there is one thing that characterizes me, it is being an open book, a straightforward woman, who abhors hypocrisy, and that is what the public wants to see.”said Rivera, who clarified that he did not plan to modify the play to please others.

“I am not going to change the content of the work because his girlfriend wants it that way. His girlfriend, instead of supporting him, has preferred to draw attention to him, try to overshadow him and manipulate him.”.
