Wave of robberies in Los Angeles: woman is attacked in her home

A woman was sexually assaulted during a wave of home robberies that occurred in the East Hollywood and Silver Lake neighborhoods, incidents that are being investigated by detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD).

According to a community alert issued on social media by the LAPD’s Northeast Area Division, The robberies were committed during the early hours of this Saturday, July 27.

“We have experienced a number of residential burglaries in the last 24 hours, in one of which an assault occurred against a female victim“the Los Angeles Police Department said.

The authorities They did not immediately provide the exact locations and times when the robberies and assaults were committed.but Citizen app reports indicated that two robberies were reported on the same block of Manzanita Street, near Fountain Avenue.

A resident of the nearby Atwater neighborhood shared doorbell camera footage with KTLA showing A man kicking down the front door to his houseNeighbors said it was the eighth time the suspect had tried to break in, but it was the first time he had succeeded.

The person said they were able to get the man out of his home and report the home invasion to police, but admitted that were shocked by the incident.

Police advised people living in the area to Turn on all outside lights, close all doors and windowsas well as remaining alert for any suspicious persons or vehicles. If you detect any suspicious activity, you should call 911.
