Mariana Echeverría, a participant in ‘La Casa de los Famosos México’, caused a stir by making an inappropriate comment towards Sian Chiong during a chat in the garden of the reality show.
Amidst the laughter and jokes, when Sian Chiong helped carry the suitcases of the leaders of the week Sabine Moussier and Karime Pindter, Mariana Echeverría made a joke about Sian Chiong’s Cuban nationality, saying “He’s going to Cuba now, he’s leaving by boat.”
Echeverría’s words caused discomfort among those present, such as Adrián Marcelo and Ricardo Peralta, who warned that it could generate criticism from Internet users.
Sian Chiong’s reaction
Sian Chiong himself responded with humor: “You’ve already won over the entire community.”
Echeverría’s comment was labeled as “in bad taste” and quickly went viral, generating all kinds of criticism on social media towards the comedian. Sian Chiong, on the other hand, is a Cuban-Mexican actor and singer who has worked in Hollywood and soap operas in Mexico.
Another famous person who reacted was the influencer Ricardo Peralta, who added “Now. The funada that comes to you.”
In response to these reactions, Mariana said: “It’s not true. You are beating your chest, Adrian Marcelo. I am joking, but I love Cuba and I have been there several times.”
On social media, some followers thought that she should be the next nominee of the show. This Sunday, July 28, one of these celebrities will say goodbye to the second season of ‘La Casa de los Famosos México 2’.
