Once achieved the victory over FC Juárez (2-1) this weekend for the Apertura 2024 tournament in the America club They quickly turn the page to focus fully on their next commitment: the Leagues Cup, which they will play starting on August 9.

This was revealed by André Jardine, coach of the Águilas del América, who explained that although he does not like to give more or less importance to a competition, he does have the philosophy of paying maximum attention to each challenge that is presented to them along the way.

“I think that when you prioritize one competition over another, you tell the group that one is not that important and I don’t like that. We have a very clear philosophy of being focused on the next match and the next competition, and the Leagues Cup becomes our priority.”the coach commented.

“All the Liga MX teams will be in the Leagues Cup, training, playing. It is a very high-level competition that also allows us to spend time together, it is still an opportunity to get together more, to get to know each other better.”commented the Brazilian coach.

After an irregular start to the semester, with a couple of defeats in their first four matches, André Jardine acknowledged that they are not yet at the exact point where he wants his team to be, something they can achieve with their participation in the Leagues Cup.
