Utah Republican Governor Spencer James Cox has backtracked on his statements that he would not vote for Donald Trump, as he did not do in 2016 or 2020.; now he says he is convinced that he fully supports the campaign of the tycoon who seeks to return to Washington.

Last week, during an interview with the television network CNNThe 49-year-old politician announced his intention not to vote for any of the candidates appearing on the ballot for the electoral process.

Although Trump represents his party, he clarified that he had trouble thinking about his role on January 6, 2021, when the Capitol was invaded by a group of civilians interested in preventing the recognition of Joe Biden’s victory in the presidential elections.

However, The most controversial part of his statements was his pointing out that, since 2012, he had not voted for the main candidate of the Republican Party.

This week, The state leader surprisingly made a 180-degree turn, inspired by what he calls a miracle, after seeing how Donald Trump was saved from having his brains blown out by a bullet. and after listening to his message delivered during the Republican National Convention, He wrote her a letter shared on X, a platform formerly known as Twitter, where he supports him when he realizes the mission destined for the 78-year-old New Yorker.

“Your life was saved. Now, thanks to that miracle, you have the opportunity to do something that no other person on earth can do right now: unify and save our country.

“Mr. President, I know we have some differences and you probably don’t like me very much. And that’s okay. I understand that. I’m not writing this letter seeking a position in your cabinet or a role on your team. But I have loved many of your policies and I firmly believe that our country has suffered over the past four years due to a lack of leadership and is in desperate need of change,” the letter reads in part.

In his text, Spencer James Cox He also suggested that Trump stop attacking the nation’s president and instead focus on sealing his return to the White House, which he claims seems to be something imminent.

“If we treat President Biden with basic human dignity and respect and we emphasize unity instead of hate, we will win this election by a historic margin and become one of our nation’s most transformative leaders.

Offering an olive branch to voters who are open to persuasion and ignore extremists, You can cement a legacy as one of the most important presidents in our nation’s 250-year history“, he concluded.

So far, most polls show Trump already five points ahead of Joe Biden at the national level, while the Democratic Party is increasingly looking to replace him as its presidential candidate.
