Jaime Munguia apparently will not renew contract with Freddie Roach and will no longer be in his corner after losing his undefeated record against Saúl ‘Canelo’ Álvarez last May, as reported by journalist Salvador Rodríguez of ESPN.

In a post on her X account (formerly Twitter), Chava Rodríguez indicated that Four-division champion Erik ‘Terrible’ Morales will once again direct Munguía for his return to the ring after being replaced by Roach.

“They tell me that the legend Érik ‘Terrible’ Morales will return to Jaime Munguía’s corner not renewing with Freddie Roach. Fernando Fernández is also returning and former champion José Luis ‘Maestrito’ López would be added for his return to the ring, tentatively for September against Erik Bazinyan,” he wrote.
