The 2024 Major League Baseball All-Star Game ended with a 5-3 victory for the American League over the National League. In 9 of the last 10 All-Star Games, the Young League has taken the victory.

Here are 5 records set by the 2024 All-Star Game:

Jarred Duran, Boston’s MVP

Jarren Duran was named Most Valuable Player after hitting a two-run homer to give the American League team the victory.

Durán took home the award in his first All-Star Game. The Mexican-American is the fifth Boston player to win the MVP.

The other four players on that list are: Carl Yastrzemski (1970), Roger Clemens (1986), Pedro Martinez (1999), JD Drew (2008).

Shohei Ohtani, a long home run

Shohei Ohtani hit a long three-run homer, the only one in the National League.

Ohtani is the first player in All-Star Game history to have one win as a pitcher and one as a hitter.

    Bruce Bochy, a historic manager

Bruce Bochy was credited with the win as the manager representing the American League. He became only the second pitcher to have an All-Star win in each league.

In 2011, Bochy won as manager of the National League. In that edition they beat the American League 5-1.

    Emmanuel Clase, second saved

Emmanuel Clase recorded his second save in an All-Star Game. The Dominican became the fourth reliever with 2 or more saves in an All-Star Classic.

Clase joins Mariano Rivera, Dennis Eckersley and Bruce Sutter as the only relievers with multiple All-Star saves.

    Mason Miller, a luxury sprinter

Mason Miller threw the fastest ball in an All-Star Game.

Oakland Athletics reliever Miller threw a 103.6 mph fastball, the fastest on record since the 2008 season.
