The first days of the Mexican football are developing normally. The teams are beginning to show off their signings for the 2024 Apertura. In the same style as Pachuca in the Clausura with Salomón Rondón, Club León boasts Jhonder Cádiz, an attacker who responded in his debut.
José Salomón Rondón was the most important signing in Mexican soccer in the Clausura 2024. The all-time top scorer for the Venezuelan national team He was the top scorer of the season in Liga MX and helped the Tuzos del Pachuca win the Concacaf Champions League.
In a way, Rondón paved the way for other Venezuelan forwards to try their luck in Liga MX. One of them is Jhonder Cádiz, a forward who already made his presence felt in his first match in Aztec football.
Dream debut for Cadiz
Club León tried to apply the “Tuza formula” in order to have a competitive team for this campaign. The Esmeraldas signed Jhonder Cádiz from Famalicão of Portuguese football.
Jhonder Cádiz was not in the club’s first matches because he was still enjoying his free time, since his season was extended with his participation in the Copa América with Venezuela, a tournament in which he scored a goal.
In his debut with Club León, Jhonder Cádiz scored his first two goals of the season. In the 24th minute, he would score the 1-1 partial against Club Puebla. The Venezuelan demonstrated his physical strength and stayed on his feet, despite the annoyance of the defense, to connect with a great pass from Luciano Cabral.
By the 87th minute, Jhonder Cádiz would once again make his presence felt on the scoreboard to score 1-2, which would give the emerald team a momentary advantage. In this action, the La Vinotinto striker showed his qualities for protecting the ball inside the area and took a very well-placed shot to seal his second goal in Mexico.
At least in the first few minutes, Jhonder Cadiz has begun to perform just as Jose Salomon Rondon did in his first minutes with the Tuzos del Pachuca (goal against Cruz Azul). The “criollos” forwards are making themselves felt in the prestigious Liga MX.
