To inform you that the Republican Party formalized this Monday during its national convention, in Milwaukee, the nomination of the former president Donald Trump as its candidate for the elections next November.
Just two days after surviving an assassination attempt at a rally, Trump was crowned by party delegates to be the Republican candidate in the upcoming elections, in which he will probably run against the current president, Democrat Joe Biden..
The nearly 2,400 delegates representing the country’s various states and territories cast their votes for Donald Trump in blocks. When Erick Trump, the former president’s son, announced that Florida’s votes had been cast for his father, the number needed to formalize the nomination was reached and a standing ovation erupted.
Immediately after Trump introduced his running mate and who would be his vice president, Ohio Senator JD Vance, 39 years old and not only a politician but also a businessman and writer, Trump reminded Truth Social that Vance served in the Marine Corps and graduated from Ohio State University and also from Yale Law School, his name appeared as a favorite on a list that also included Florida Senator Marco Rubio, South Carolina Senator Tim Scott, North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum, and Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin.
