In the month of July, many states will continue sending stimulus checks to their residents with amounts of up to $500 dollars from guaranteed income programs, tax refunds and surpluses, this with the aim of providing financial assistance especially to low-income families affected during the Covid-19 pandemic and high inflation.
For this reason, at least 150 residents in Fresno County, California, are expected to receive their direct payment of $500 on July 15 from a guaranteed income program, which is scheduled to be sent over 12 months.
The deadline to apply for this payment closed in May, and eligible people were those who met the requested requirements such as: be a low-income family with dependents ages 0 to 5 and reside in the 93706 (southwest Fresno) or 93234 (Huron) ZIP codes.
According to the program’s website, the stimulus check would begin to be sent out this summer, so people who qualified would be sent an email, phone call and text message announcing their selection.
