Lionel Messi wants to enjoy every moment he has left with the Argentina National Team, one of them this Sunday in a new final in which they will face Colombia in Miami to decide the champion of the Copa America USA 2024.

The captain of the Albiceleste spoke again about his retirement in an interview with DSports in which he recalled how he went through some bad times with the national team but that now that they have several years with results on their side he hopes to be able to continue taking advantage of the good moment.

“I don’t like to think beyond that. I’m enjoying myself and seeing the day to day, what happens to me and what we’re achieving. I had a great time in the national team, where I suffered because the results weren’t coming. We had a bad time. Now I enjoy the day to day,” commented the ’10’.

“I was coming into this Copa America in good shape, but the injury made me change my plans. It didn’t go as I expected or wanted. Now we have the opportunity to play another final. We’re enjoying it and have the responsibility to give our all to be able to achieve it.”said the Inter Miami MLS player.

“With Canada I felt very good physically. With Chile I had an adductor problem and I didn’t play comfortably anymore. I was already slowed down, it bothered me when I was trying to stand up or move laterally. And with Ecuador I arrived just in time too. I was fine with the injury, but I had that in my head that there was something wrong.”recalled the ’10’.

“In the last one I lost my fear, I felt better and I think that these days that have passed since then and the final I will feel better.”, said the Argentine captain, who assured that he is ready for this Sunday’s match against the Colombian National Team at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.
