After actor George Clooney asked Joe Biden to drop out of the presidential race, more Hollywood stars have joined the call hoping that the president will listen to them before he is outvoted at the polls by his bitter political rival Donald Trump.

Through a surprising opinion article published in the newspaper The New York Timeswhere he first thanks the nation’s leader for his work at the head of the White House, the renowned actor from Kentucky urged him to recognize that time has won the battle and how his current conditions would not allow him to beat Trump at the polls, so that the best thing would be to give up his political aspirations.

“It’s devastating to say, but the Joe Biden I stood with three weeks ago at the fundraiser was not the Joe Biden of 2010. He wasn’t even the Joe Biden of 2020. He was the same man we all witnessed at the debate,” she wrote in part.

Once the article about the film star gained relevance to the point of being a news topic in the main news spaces, Other prominent figures in the entertainment world echoed his words.

Actress Mia Farrow expressed on platform X, formerly known as Twitterwho, while respecting the head of the nation, wishes for his decline in favor of someone more competitive against Donald Trump.

“Time to pass the torch or we will lose the Senate, the House of Representatives and our democracy.

I’ll vote for Joe if he refuses to resign. Of course. But he’s losing.

“I care deeply about our democracy and look forward to nominating another talented Democrat who will carry on Joe Biden’s great accomplishments and win,” he wrote.

In an interview with the television show “The View,” The famous actor Michael Douglas admitted to being concerned about the deterioration shown by Biden to whom he suggests giving up his place to another democrat aligned with his national project and with a chance of winning the November elections.

“I’m very, very concerned. I mean, especially… it’s difficult because the Democrats have a large number of congressmen. They have a lot of heavyweights,” he said of naming a replacement for the 81-year-old president.

Filmmaker and actor Rob Reiner also turned to X to make a clearer statement about the character required to try to defeat Trump.

“We love and respect Joe Biden. We recognize everything he has done for our country, but democracy faces an existential threat. We need someone younger to fight back. Joe Biden must step aside“, he emphasized.
