What at the time was a rumor that over time was gaining a lot of more strength and form, finally came to fruition and is now a reality, as the ‘Red Devils’ of Manchester United of the English Premier League and technical director Erik Ten Hag have agreed to extend their working/sporting relationship until the 2026 season.
Through an official statement issued by the Manchester United team, the The Dutch coach has shown himself to be quite pleased, happy and motivated to have reached an agreement with the board and to continue being the coach of the ‘Red Devils’ for at least two more seasons.
The Dutch coach has full confidence
Erik Ten Hag had a tough time managing the United dugout, but He was able to win two championships and make the team perform better in the two seasons since his arrival at the team in 2022. The technical director is fully aware that there is still a long way to go and work to be done to reach the level expected from a club with such hierarchy, tradition and history as Manchester United, which translates into fighting for the English and European championships.
Dan Ashworth praises Ten Hag to the highest degree
The sporting director of the ‘Red Devils’, Mr. Dan Ashworth, also had Ashworth also made a special mention for the two championships won by the team under Ten Hag, emphasising that the club has been strengthened and that the coach is considered one of the most successful and consistent in European football: “The review that the club carried out last season highlighted aspects that needed improvement, but we also came to the conclusion that Erik was the best partner we could have to raise our level and our results,” commented Ashworth.
